| My Green Screen Challenge exporting to QuickTime. |
The video above is my final edit. As this was only a practice challenge, I could afford to experiment with different effects and ideas. For example, each time the actor appears on screen, I duplicated their presence:
The first time the actor appears on screen, she stands alone whilst lip synching to the lyrics.
The next appearance the actor makes later on in the song, she has been duplicated so she is on screen twice, but her movements are identical to each other.
The final time she appears on scree, there is another duplicate, so there are three identical versions of the actress on screen at once. The increasing number of times the actress is featured on screen mirrors the song's dramatic instruments, as the song builds up to a crescendo.
Although I was just experimenting with different effects and ideas, they could prove useful later on when it comes to planning, filming and later editing my own music video. This particular process was very simple to complete, and it could fit in nicely with an idea I have for my my music video for the song "Selfies". In each chorus, the word "self" is repeated three times in canon; each time the actor lip syncs "self", another version of themselves could appear on the screen next to them - they could be performing the same action so there is almost a mirror effect, or each version of the actor could be performing a different action.
