Mood Board

After listening to Nina Nesbitt's album 'Peroxide', I created a mood board to reflect the thoughts, emotions and images that I connected with the album's sound and lyrical content. Click here to view my mood board. I created the mood board on a site called 'MoodShare', which was a device I had never used before, but proved the best way to display and illustrate the tones and themes of the album.

You were provided with a blank canvas on which to place images, text, videos and sound onto. I could source the materials via the web, save them to my area and then import them to Moodshare, where they would be stored in the lightbox. When they were in the lightbox, all I had to do was simply drag the materials onto the canvas. I could also add images/text/sound/videos etc. to my lightbox via clicking on the magnifying glass icon in the top left hand corner of the page, where I could search anything I wanted and add them to the moodboard.

I sourced pictures from the internet to include in my mood board, but I also included text, too. When listening to Nesbitt's album 'Peroxide', I noticed how almost every song contained an element of social commentary, particularly themes that a younger audience would identify with. I incorporated pictures such as a polaroid camera, a love heart and a photo of Nina Nesbitt herself, to make it more personal. In addition, I incorporated videos of not only her songs, but her interviews, too. This helped me capture the personality of the album.

After creating this post, the website 'MoodShare' was shut down and is no longer in use. Therefore, I created a moodboard using Microsoft Word and tried to include as many photos and words that I used in my original creation.

In addition, I have imported some of the videos that I featured in my mood board, too.
