As I did not complete filming my music video on 28th January, I booked out my school theatre, the same space which I occupied during my first filming session. The second stage of production will take place on 24th March - I have already clarified with my actor that this date is suitable.
I have the theatre space from 3 p.m., an earlier time than my first filming session which should hopefully result in all of the remaining shots being filmed. In addition, the theatre is free at 2:50 p.m, so I can construct the necessary props such as the white back drop before my actor arrives, resulting in less waiting around and more production time.
During the first production session, the necessary IT assistance had not been informed that I would be needing sound and lighting so I will personally ensure that they are notified this time.
I have made some changes to my music video - the most notable change will be the removal of the narrative aspect of my music video. I believe the narrative aspect will be too much of a visual contrast to the shots filmed in front the white back drop, as they are extremely bright and I will not be able to achieve the same brightness during the narrative shots. This means I will have to collate more footage of my actor performing in front of the white back drop. Plus, I may also involve the green screen so I have more visual options during the post production process.
Due to all of these factors, this second production session should run a lot more smoothly in comparison to my first attempt. I will have more time also to get evidence of me filming and constructing my music video. As well as obtaining the necessary footage, I will also be taking photographs that will be used in my CD Digipack and Music Magazine Advertisement, so time will have to be allowed to get those shots.
